I have lived in Wingrave for nearly 2 years now. Having long been interested in the process of politics and how decisions are made I decided to stand for election as Parish Councillor. Parish Councillors give their time, unpaid to to try and make their community a better place. My father was a parish councillor, then a country Councillor and stood once as an MP, but wasn’t elected. My brother-in-law was a member of Oxfordshire County Council and did a lot to reduce waste and encourage reuse and recycling. He was an inspiring man generally. I have worked in the field of emotional and physical health for some 30 years and am particularly interested in projects where well-being and the beauty and use of the local environment coincide.
